The Dainty Crumb Bakery was born from both tradition and love. Founder and cake artist Nyasha Paul, a native of St. Lucia, first fell in love with baking alongside her late grandmother, Thelma “Mum” Seales—a gifted chef, baker, and candy maker known for her mastery in the islands.
Mum’s mantra was simple: “Do things well the first time, so you won’t have to do it over.” At age nine, Nyasha learned this through patience and precision—sifting flour by the cup, measuring teaspoons to the dot, and waiting for butter to soften just right. Those small lessons shaped her pursuit of excellence. Together, they dreamed while watching Cake Boss, planting the seed for what would one day become The Dainty Crumb.
Today, every cake and confection is a continuation of that legacy—a love letter to Mum, crafted with artistry, discipline, and grace.
